Description:

The Meade Area Middle School is a 149,000 square foot single-story facility consisting of masonry and steel construction, metal roofing and glazing in high peaks and clerestory areas.

Roy Kirby & Sons, Inc. was the general contractor in a multi-prime situation under a construction manager, with responsibilities for concrete, masonry, steel, rough carpentry, thermal and moisture, doors, frames and windows, finishes, and equipment.

Some specialty items on this project included: scientific casework and equipment, speech and learning equipment, computer labs, exercise and gymnasium equipment, as well as other support items found in the Middle School.
