Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Washington D.C.
Completion Date: 2000
Duration: twenty-four months
Contract Value: $6,381,386
Description:
The original church structure was built in 1792. Roy Kirby &
Sons, Inc. underpinned the existing stone foundation in order to
expand the lower levels of the existing offices. Much of the stone
foundation required shotcrete in order to stabilize the stone before
the underpinning operation.
The renovations included the transformation of the
original church building to offices, as well as a new subterranean
office addition totalling 30,000 square feet. Because storage space
was extremely limited, this project required careful coordination
of material delivery and scheduling of sub-contractors.
