Description:
This award winning project was constructed in two phases.
The first phase consisted of the construction of a
four story atrium which interconnects three of the existing college
buildings. A fourth floor addition was also constructed on top of
the existing buildings during this phase. Key architectural elements
included a natural stone veneer, glazed aluminum curtainwall and
stainless steel and glass pedestrian bridge.
The second phase included interior selective demolition
of various areas in the existing buildings. A new commercial kitchen
was installed, which serves the entire college campus. The existing
book store was relocated and a 25,000 square foot food court was
constructed.
